Tea under banyan tree
Dusty village road with tar getting ripped off on the sides at acute angles and small pot-holes appearing with having dried up leaves from old banyan trees standing tall on either sides. Serene pond on the side of the road with occasional bubbles in midst of ripples created by small fishes. Old dilapidated temple and a small chai-shop with local village snacks in glass bottles covered with dust from the road settled nicely camaflouging the sppousedly lip-smacking snacks inside and rusty lids trying to keep them fresh with natural preservatives. An Old couple doing the dual role , I guess, of serving hot chai in small glasses to the customers going on that road and also being care-takers of the temple in the background. Wonder if at any point of time pilgrims would outnumber the travellers at this spot.
